PROFORM’s 4.55:1 Gear Reduction Mini Starter delivers serious cranking power in a compact, Hitachi-style package. Designed for Chevy V6, small block, and big block V8 engines, this high-torque starter steps beyond typical 4.4:1 gear-reduction designs with an aggressive 4.55:1 reduction ratio for strong, reliable starting performance in demanding street, strip, and performance applications.

Built with a 12-volt, 1.6 kW high-output motor, sealed gear-reduction drive, and full ball bearing construction, this starter is engineered to spin faster and more efficiently than stock-style units. Its offset design provides added oil pan clearance, while the rotatable mounting position allows improved fitment around tight chassis, header, and engine-bay combinations.
